Bend in the Creek B&B is located creek-side in King Salmon; less than 2 miles from King Salmon's airport but only a short charter flight or boat ride to all that the Alaska Peninsula has to offer. Weather you come to relax while fly-fishing in our local streams, fishing for some amazing Rainbow Trout, Kings, Silvers or Red Salmon or just desiring to enjoy the views of the Alaskan wilderness, Bend in the Creek B&B fits the bill perfectly. We offer 1 to 4 bedrooms to include a full-size bunk room that can sleep up to 6 people. The house can comfortably host up to 12 adults. A self-serve quick breakfast is provided to start your daily adventure from 7:30-10:00AM. Our home is approximately 3500 sq ft. Upstairs houses our private living quarters but also a common Living/ Dining area and Kitchen along with a half bath and a huge outside deck complete with a BBQ Grill and the amazing views you would expect from our Alaskan home. Downstairs has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, TV room, outside deck and we can't forget the laundry room. Outside: 3+ acres to enjoy with a swing set, picnic table and fire pit for your enjoyment where you can expect the occasional moose, bear, porcupine, beaver or eagles sightings. In this home you are able to rent one bedroom up to all 4 so everyone is sure to be comfortable. Each bedroom rents for the going seasonal rate for up to 2 people with an extra $25 charge per extra person in the bunk room where we have 2 full-size beds, a full size futon and even a full size trundle. Driftwood Wilderness Lodge was assembled from lumber milled on site. The logs were collected and rafted 20 at a time from the nearby infamous Shelikof Strait. Incidentally this same strait harbors some of the worlds most fantastic fishing for salmon, halibut, and rockfish. Larsen Bay is an isolated Village located on the west side of Kodiak Island. It is only accessible via plane or boat. The flight from Kodiak to Larsen Bay is an amazing experience in and of itself. The most established air services on the Island are Island Air and Andrews Air. Larsen Bay is known as a world class hunting and fishing destination. Driftwood Wilderness Lodge is nestled in a beautiful tidal lagoon, with spacious cabins, and amazing wildlife right outside your door. Heated garage is a perfect place to hang you gear after a long day on the river. On a rainy afternoon kick back and relax in the heated garage for some ping pong with you grill up your fish from the trip. The back of the house is lined with decks overlooking a thick swath of spruce trees and small stream. A perfect spot to relax after a long day playing in Kodiak. The cabin is a comfortable 1,000 square foot home with a large, fully-equipped kitchen and island. You'll find the island is perfect for cooking a wonderful locally-sourced meal and gathering around in the evening. Enjoy high-speed wifi, a large TV with streaming for your favorite movies and shows. There are two full-sized bathrooms; one with a tub for littles. You'll find a freezer for storing your catch in the summertime. The bedding is high quality with cozy sheets and duvets that you'll want to relax into at the end of a day exploring the island. With black-out curtains you'll actually get some zzzzs during the midnight sun.

A rural road 35 miles along Kodiak Island's scenic ocean side leads to An Original View, a large cabin/house on the edge of the bay. 2 bedrooms- 1 King sized bedroom, 1 Queen sized bedroom with bed access on 1 side, and 2 daybeds in the living room. Cook, read, gaze out the windows, write, craft, and more while being in a peaceful, beautiful, art filled space. Full kitchen with tile counter tops (although the vintage freezer won't hold a full sized pizza). Lovely bathroom with claw foot tub/shower ~ so a bit of a stretch to climb into. Guest seating area in organic garden overlooking the ocean. Wireless internet- no downloads of large video files or streaming. Clear cell phone service IF your provider works on Kodiak Island. Owners live on the property in cabin next door. The highway to Chiniak is mostly paved with about 5 miles of gravel. If you want the (dusty, bumpy, partially gravel) road less traveled, this is the place to for you. There is some construction in 2019, with fairly short delays. If you don't mind not having access to streaming video and large video file downloads, and you enjoy being in a sparsely populated area, this may be the perfect spot for you to relax!
